There are thousands if not millions of videos out there all talking about the most famous rare and beloved MBTI type called the INFJ.

If you were to go into a room full of MBTI nerds and ask them what type they are, I can 100 thousand percent guarantee you that 69.74% of them will tell you that they are an INFJ. Well, that is just obviously crap because we all know that this is theoretically the rarest type.

Any way, the main purpose of this article is for me to outline the three major signs that you are truly the INFJ personality type based on what they all have in common regardless of their subtype.

1. They are control freaks

This should be no surprise because if there is an MBTI type that loves to be in control of everything, you can bet its the INFJ. This is true due to the fact that they have Ni (Introverted iNtuition) as their lead function, and Ni is responsible for narrowing down concepts which is just a fancy way of saying, controlling every possible abstract part of life. There inferior Se (Extraverted Sensing) also simply means they try to avoid it at all costs which in the end just ends up causing them to overcontrol things to avoid chaos in the real world (Se).

Okay, I may have mentioned that INFJ’s are control freaks of everything but I do not really mean ‘everything’. There secondary Fe simply means that they prioritize other peoples feelings or values over theirs and when Ni works together with Fe (Extraverted Feeling), they produce an amazing combo of Ni+Fe which I can interpret as controlling, predicting or shaping peoples emotions or values.

So in short, all I am trying to say is that INFJ’s are control freaks when it comes to human emotions or values whether positive or negative.

2. They prioritize peoples needs over theirs

As I mentioned earlier, INFJ’s have Fe as their secondary function. Which means its their responsibility to fulfil its duties. Fe is known for being the function that makes everyone happy and is the one who is also being the emotional person who can sympathize with anyone. Well, that is not far from the truth, as a matter of fact personality types with high Fe are actually one of the best at doing these tasks. However, having Fe does not really mean that you will be able to make everyone happy at the expense of your own happiness, its just that generally it makes much more sense for the function to be used in that way because having Fe is like being a vudu doll victim. Whatever the the person feels you will also feel the same way as if you were the one actually experiencing their emotions whether good or bad.

The fact that INFJ’s always think of others first before themselves may cause them to neglect their own needs which can later affect them in the long run but balancing up between their needs and others will be generally much more easier for them than other types like the ESFJ.

3. They are very abstract

INFJ’s have Ni+Fe working as their forefront all day long and this makes them belong to the NF (iNtuitive Feelers) temperament which is a very type of abstract personality type. This is due to the fact that Ni is an iNtuitive function which is abstract in nature and Fe as a Feeling function which is also abstract in nature because of the lack of a logical system or fact to back them up.

Because of their abstract nature people tend to misunderstand them a lot, which may leave most INFJ’s in a very lonely world where only them can understand themselves. Some INFJ’s have fought with this problem by trying to be more clear with people in the way they communicate like backing up what they say with real world facts and practical examples and also using less analogies in their speech as a way to interpret their thoughts.

These were the three undeniable signs that you may be an INFJ. If you do not identify with any of them then you are probably not one but that is not the end of the world because every other type is good in its own way, and our MBTI type does not make us more special or valuable in any way but ourselves.
