The Coronavirus pandemic is one of the occurrences that has kicked the earth off its feet. It caused people to do the unexpected and forced them out of their comfort zones.
There are many lessons we have learnt from the pandemic but here are the 5 lessons I think are the most important.
1. Be willing to improvise
If there is one thing that the pandemic has proven, it’s that no matter how smart we are or how much we think and plan ahead, we cannot prepare for everything. We human beings should just learn to improvise and adapt in the moment so that we can smoothly pass through another similar situation in future.
2. We should work together to succeed
This pandemic is one of those situations that required people to comply with certain rules for things to go well. If most of the world decided to not follow the health guidelines, our world would have been in complete chaos. Therefore cooperation is one thing we must all learn to do and practice.
3. There is no rainbow without rain
This is a common saying and theory we can all agree is true. From every bad situation, there is a good side to it. Due to the Coronavirus, a lot of good things have come out of it which include; more time spent with family, a cleaner pollution free planet, opened up people’s minds to different business ideas and opportunities and it has also made us much more prepared and alert for a similar situation.
4. Always have saved money
Whether you are an individual or business entity, this pandemic has proved that you need to have a backup account of money even in the most favorable economic conditions because we don’t know just what to expect next.
5. The last lesson
The last but not the least lesson I believe is the most important one we have learnt is that, ‘life is precious’. One thing we human beings have taken for granted is our lives, and this is something we can all agree upon. We must appreciate that we are not part of the 2.5 million people that have died of this virus.
We have learnt a number of lessons from this pandemic but I believe these are the most valuable. Therefore I hope we find them useful and valuable in our lives.
