IS ONLINE BUSINESS PRACTICAL IN AFRICA?
Africa is one of the most famous continents in the world. Its probably because of the uniqueness the continent possess beginning from its culture to the natural resources it has. Nevertheless, does all this make online business a go to thing for anyone living in the continent?
I personally believe that online business in Africa is very practical to do, depending on which part on which part you specifically choose. I myself began trying online business about 1 year ago and I believe that doing anything depends on the mind-set you have towards it.
Although I agree that online business in Africa can work for you, there are some disadvantages or some setbacks to it.
The first disadvantage I would like to mention is our culture. In Africa the culture we have does not in any way support anyone to do anything that involves tech to earn money. Due to this mind-set, most Africans even believe that its impossible to earn money online which just ends up discouraging people to even give it a try.
The second disadvantage is that in Africa, although I hate to admit, we have a below average intelligence in general. Due to this most people do not even know how to operate machines like computers on a basic level which leads to less people trying to do online business.
The third disadvantage I would like to mention is that the expense of doing some online business is pretty high and people in Africa are usually not willing to invest, especially in something they do not even trust, like online business.
The last but not the least disadvantage I will talk about is the unfamiliarity Africa has with online things. Africa is still developing. Therefore, most African nations tend to neglect this part of the world which in the end just discourages people to try it out.
These disadvantages may be very discouraging but as we all know, every coin has a head and a tail. Here are some of the advantages I think online business has in Africa.
If you plan to do online business here in Africa, you will probably have the least competition you will ever experience in the world, this is beneficial because the lesser the competition the more the money.
The second advantage I will mention is that you will be unique. Yes, the fact that you are doing online business in this continent already makes you unique from most people around you because some of them do not even think it exists. This uniqueness gives you extra authority in this field because if you do become successful through online business, you will be the one everyone approaches for advice. We all know that authority is equal to power and power is equal to more money.
The last advantage on my list is that you generally become more confident in yourself if you do online business in Africa. This is because we all know that its very intimidating to choose a much more insecure shaky online job over a secure real physical world one. It also takes a lot of courage to be the odd one out.
Any way despite these advantages and disadvantages I decided to give online business a try 1 year ago as I mentioned earlier in the beginning. My experience with it has been somehow rough over the years but I know I will make it because I am determined and I know that through hard work I can achieve anything.
I began my online journey with an extensive amount of research, starting from survey sites to artistic jobs. I ended up trying a lot of these platforms and I finally found a few that worked for me. Although most of the methods and strategies I know have not yet benefited me I know they are legit and they will surely pay off in future. One of the apps I tried that actually paid me money for the first time is Premise. Its a simple app that helped me earn my first 5 dollars online just by doing simple tasks. I recommend you try it out to begin or add on something to your online money making journey.
Overall I have not yet started reaping the benefits of online money making to to its full potential but I can at least say I have earned something from it.
From my overall experience and observations about the online money making world, I have concluded that for you to join, you really need to be a person willing to put in the hard work and effort to get the money they deserve. You also need to be a very curious person who is willing to fail at this and play the game of trial and error over and over again.
